Equality Winston-Salem will host Winston-Salem PRIDE 2012 on Saturday, October 13, 2012. This year’s event follows PRIDE 2011—the first pride event held in Winston-Salem in over 15 years. PRIDE 2011 attracted a diverse crowd of over 5,000 attendees. Fundraising efforts leading up to PRIDE 2012 include a series of three Gay Bingo events in Winston-Salem. With great support from the community, our Gay Bingo events to date have attracted crowds of 400-600 people and have raised over $25,000 toward PRIDE efforts. More importantly, these events draw a diverse crowd of participants and sponsors—approximately half of those in attendance are our straight allies.
